The River View Hotel is open for the 2012 season.
4/6/2012: What a spring! Today the high is 67 and it’ll get down to 40
tonight. But outside the irises are
blooming as is our Peace Rose (usually blooms in May), spider worts, yellow Jessamine, spring beauties, snowdrops, and
other flowers.
We use only 100% cotton sheets, towels, and other linens and dry them in
the sun on the clothesline out back.
This is a mom and pop business.
There’s no business manager or receptionist. Our target audience is guests that appreciate
historic hotels. If you’re interested in
outdoor activities or local music, we’ll be happy to provide suggestions from
our more than 20 years experience in the area.
While there are 3 motels on the highway, we’re the only hotel and the
only downtown lodging that overlooks the river.
